Regional guidelines for judging sessions:

  1. Do NOT leave any information or handouts with the judges other than the following items. No items will be returned to you.

  2. To improve team recognition with the judges, teams may bring a one-pager with basic information about your team. You may choose to use this Team Information form template.

  3. To help the judges quickly and consistently learn about your robot, you may bring one or more pages of printed code. You may also bring your robot (of course) and computer. Note that only student team members may participate in any demonstrations or explanations during judging.

  4. To help the judges learn more about your team and its unique story, you may prepare something (physical or presented) that shows how you practice the FIRST Core Values. While not in the Judging Session Flowchart, you may find a way to present this information during the 8-minute discussion period at the end. Be ready for judges to ask if there's anything else you want to share!

  5. A note about water: the use of water in your judging session may be allowed during this SUBMERGED season, but this is up to each venue. Please check the Team Info Packet or ask your Tournament Director. IF you use water, team members should be prepared to clean up the entire amount they bring, if it spills.

Teams that advance from a qualifying tournament will receive an invitation to the East Tennessee Championship held in Cookeville on February 8, 2025. For more information about the Tennessee East events, go to the FLL Events page, open the Tennessee-East events, and read ‘Team Info Packet’ on the appropriate event page.
